About The Elusive Buss
Peter's parents and siblings are not all known. Hopefully, thru this web page, some of the relatives will come forth.

It is known by the family that Peter was born in New York City, most likely the Bronx. He is of German ancestry and has a known brother Jacob. Per 1880 census, Peter was living in Binghamton, Broome, NY with his brother Sam'l J. Buss and family. Also, per 1880 census, Sam'l J was born in Wurttemberg, Germany.

Sometime after 1880 Peter moved from Binghamton, Broome, NY to Elmira, Chemung, NY and settled down until his death.

According to family Peter spoke high German. He was a cigar maker by trade. His brother, who they believe was Jacob, was a tailor by trade.

This is a work in progress, so any/all input will be welcomed.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
